From 1 July 2023, the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Service Levy (CPVSL) rate will change from $1.05 (ex GST) to $1.15 (ex GST).

This means that the CPVSL rate that you see on your trip(s) will raise from $1.16 (inc GST) to $1.25 (Inc GST)

The change is due to indexation and is in accordance with section 238 of the Commercial Passenger Vehicle Industry Act 2017.

Eureka Taxis has not been formally notified of this change by eithor the regulator (CPVV) or from the State Revenue Office (SRO) and have found this out from industry sources.

The CPVSL was introduced on 1 July 2018 and applies to every taxi and hire car trip, including ride share, originating in Victoria.
